Bioshroom team celebrating FSSC 22000 certification Back to Articles

At Bioshroom, quality and consistency are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to announce that our food safety management system has achieved FSSC 22000 certification, one of the world's most recognised food safety standards.

What is FSSC 22000?

FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000) is an internationally recognised certification scheme designed to ensure the highest standards of food safety throughout the production process. The certification incorporates ISO 22000:2018, ISO/TS 22002-1:2009, and additional FSSC requirements, providing a comprehensive framework for food safety management.

For our customers, this certification offers assurance that Bioshroom operates according to rigorous food safety protocols, with systems in place to identify, manage, and continuously improve food safety risks.

What Does This Mean for Bioshroom Customers?

Our certification covers the manufacture of dried mushroom slices, granules, and powders, including slicing, drying, optional milling, and packing into metallised laminate bags. It also covers the packing of fresh chilled mushrooms into punnets.

By achieving FSSC 22000 certification, Bioshroom demonstrates its commitment to:

  • Maintaining the highest food safety standards
  • Delivering consistent product quality
  • Ensuring full process control and traceability
  • Supporting customers with reliable, audit-ready supply chains
  • Continually improving our operational practices

A Commitment to Excellence

Food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and brand owners increasingly require partners who can demonstrate robust food safety systems. Our FSSC 22000 certification reflects the investments we have made in our facilities, procedures, training, and quality systems to meet these expectations.

As demand for functional mushroom ingredients continues to grow, Bioshroom remains dedicated to providing safe, high-quality products backed by internationally recognised standards. This certification is another step in our ongoing commitment to excellence, transparency, and customer confidence.

Partner with Bioshroom knowing your mushroom ingredients are produced under a globally recognised food safety management system.
